As it was foretold..

The holiday in fuel La-La Land has ended.

As foretold last year, the fuel price would increase in the New Year and so would the fuel levy.

The petrol price will go up by 29c/litre for petrol and 30c/litre for diesel in March plus the 29c/litre increase in the fuel levy will hit in April.

If we look at that , the fuel levy alone will bring in approximately R870 million for the government EXTRA as from April.

If that remained unchanged for the next 12 months, we would pay them an additional R10,4 Billion in 2019.

As that advert so famously said, “Makes you think, doesn’t it?”
