Most of our fuel is used for work.
Since this is something most of us do every day, it is reasonable to assume that fuel used for work constitutes about 70% of the fuel we buy.
This is where we start.
How much LESS fuel would you use if you WEREN’T going to work every day?
It’s going to take some commitment from everyone (or most) people that drive a personal passenger vehicle – this includes the MD’s and CEO’s.
30 Days of Working from Home.
Yes, I know what you are thinking,” MY BOSS WILL NEVER DO THIS!”
Except, he’ll be working from home too.
In most businesses, it is plausible that with the communication systems available, most office bound work could be done from home.
I realise that NOT all businesses can do this- but for 30 Days, many of them could make a plan, provided they planned for it ahead of time.
Remember, this is just a temporary strategy and it is to finally UNITE consumers against corruption in the fuel supply sector.
So no, you are not going to be working from home permanently, sad as that may be.
We can’t just start this tomorrow. It has to be properly planned so that temporary strategies can be created and implemented in businesses PRIOR to launch, so that everyone in the business – customers INCLUDED -know when , how and why this is going to happen.
This is a phased roll out plan.
Start with staff that DON’T need to be at the office and could happily do the same work from home. Sales executives, admin etc.
Let’s face it. You could do most of your work from home with a computer, internet and a phone.
It’s simply transferring the lines of communication to the digital and electronic space for a bit.
We understand that not every business can have all their staff at home working for 30 days and we are not asking for this at all.
We’re asking that non-essential office based staff NOT be at the office for 30 days so that we can create a huge fuel surplus – and bring the price down.
Then from the start date, those staff gradually phase to home based operation.
